Bluff Beach,

Bocas del Toro

Bocas del Toro, the tropical island archipelago of Panama, known for its rich biodiversity (they call it the Galapagos of the Caribbean!), is the place that we call home. There are a few main islands and hundreds of small ones scattered throughout, but we will be staying on the largest one, pictured above, called Isla Colon.

The giant stretch of golden sand seen above is Bluff Beach. There are a handful of hotels, some residents but mostly lots of undeveloped area just waiting to be explored.

One of our favorite activities is taking the bikes (provided by Bluff Beach Retreat) and biking down the jungle trail to La Piscina or Blue Lagoon for a dip in the protected pools.

You will love all the wildlife in the area: monkeys, sloths, toucans, parrots and other tropical birds are always around.

At certain points of the year the waves in Bluff Beach attract international surfers, but during October the waves are very small and you can swim in the turquoise waters!

About Us

Just two friends who live in this special place who have created a week full of connection, fun, and adventure.

Kelly Yonston brings so much to this retreat in ways of movement, breathwork, mindfulness and connection exercises and she has an incredible perspective informed equally by classic education and lived experiences. Spending time in her energy is healing in every way.

Keara Mahoney is a hospitality expert and the “go to girl” for all things Bocas. She will share her love for the islands by planning her favorite trips, excursions and adventures as well as hosting workshops and classes. You will be excited to see what surprises she has in store daily for guests at the Bare Feet Retreat!
