Welcome
If you are looking for a safe space to begin to journey deeper into yourself; you’re in the right spot. I feel very passionate about empowering people to look inside of themselves in order to discover what they need to live their most meaningful, joyful and authentic life. And it all starts by building a more committed, honest, and loving relationship with yourself. Anyone can do it; the problem is we often sincerely just don’t know how and we need a little help getting started.
I’d be honored to help get you on your way.
I’ve been naturally drawn to learn about the mind, the body, and how to be “happy and healthy” for as long as I can remember. I studied psychology in university, completed my yoga certification program, and delved into the world of spirituality in my early 20’s. I went on to receive my Master’s in Educational Psychology, collected more certifications and knowledge; but still, I knew there was something I was missing. I felt I was living my life on the surface; stuck in very unhealthy patterns and routines that made life feel flat, but “safe”.
In hindsight, what I was missing was a deeper awareness of myself and how I was interacting with life. While my yoga training/practice helped to plant the seeds for this, I really didn’t “get it” until I learned and practiced specific mindful awareness techniques that continued to lead me back to myself. This awareness led to self-responsibility (oof, that part was the hardest!), self-responsibility led to my ability to make changes in the right direction, and experiencing the benefits of positive changes led to empowerment and an ever-expanding belief in myself.
I have used these tools to navigate through periods of chronic pain, recurrent miscarriages, divorce, death/losses, moves, transitions, conflict, relationships, or just super crappy days.
Over the past ten years, I have shared the amazing healing tools of yoga and mindfulness with hundreds of people; from elementary school children to retired adults to help enhance their quality of life. The techniques and skills that I teach and use are simple and practical yet powerful and effective when you put them into practice. My intention is to educate, support, guide, inspire, and hold a safe space for you along your own path of self-exploration.
With love and respect,
Kelly
A bit about me
More about me:
I am originally from Erie, Pennsylvania and then I lived in San Diego, California for almost 15 years.
I have now lived on a small Caribbean island called Bocas del Toro for the last 6 years.
When life feels heavy, I like to re-watch episodes of Scrubs and New Girl.
I’m a minimalist and I try to give one thing away anytime I buy something new.
Allowing myself to “get weird” has been one of the most healing things I’ve ever done for myself.
Chocolate, music, and movement is life.
I love...
traveling, new experiences, singing, dancing, chocolate, coffee, how heartbreak cracks you open, sunrises, the hour before sunrise, long walks with friends, trusting, cold coconut water on a hot day, free diving, facing my fears, learning from my mistakes, chasing birds, repurposing old items, journaling, putting my hand on my heart and reminding myself it's all right here, aging, talking to plants, playing with children, playing with adults, trampolines, challenges, alchemizing pain, being vulnerable, creating new chapters, fresh picked strawberries, acro yoga, love notes, my mom, acting goofy, listening deeply, learning, growing, life.
